Create and configure the custom field

To configure the Jira Expressions Field custom field, you must be logged in as a user with Jira Administrator permissions.

  1. Go to AppsManage your appsCustom Field Suite

  2. Click on Create custom field button on the right side of the screen.

  3. Select Decimal Number and click Next.

  4. Name and add a description to your field then click Next.

  5. Select one of the available expressions from the dropdown menu or enter your own.

  6. Selectwhich issue you want to test the expression on (last 20 created issues are available here).

  7. Test the expression and click Next.

  8. Associate the field to the appropriate screens and click Create. You must associate a field to a screen before it will be displayed.

Note

To use Custom Field Suite Fields expressions make sure to assign the matching field to the issue you want to display it using Jira Expressions Field.
