We've changed the way custom fields are created! . We added the option to create a custom field directly from the global app configuration. This now provides the benefits of easier creating , and managing and deleting custom fields.

Navigate to Apps → Manage Apps and select Fields from the left sidebar. For a quick and easy start, just use the Create custom field buttonthe Create Custom Field button on the right side of the screen . Custom fields can still be created through Jira Settings.

Follow these steps to access global app configuration from anywhere in Jira:

1. Navigate to Apps and select Manage your apps.

2. Navigate to Fields - Custom Field Types in the sidebar on the left and select.

That’s it! You can now start using Fields - Custom Field Types right away.
