#1 Assign Cosmos admin permissions
The Cosmos admin role allows organizations to assign intranet management rights to users who are not Confluence admins. This change is important for large organizations, where responsibilities for internal communication and intranet maintenance often lie with HR or communications teams rather than IT.
From your Confluence navigation bar, open the Apps dropdown and select Cosmos Settings.
The Admins tab will open by default.
In the user picker field, type the name of the user you want to add.
Click on the Add members button.
The selected users are now assigned as Cosmos Admins and can access all settings within Cosmos.
Users who are not Confluence admins or not assigned as Cosmos admins will still see Cosmos Settings in the Confluence navigation, but will receive an error message when trying to access it.
