Content Pickers
This page covers the reusable pickers available across Optics for adding and managing images, icons, logos, emojis, and links in supported modules, providing a consistent configuration experience throughout the app.
Available picker types include:
Image picker with support for multiple image sources
Icon, emoji, and logo picker.
Link picker with internal and external destinations
Image
The Image picker is available in selected Cards templates, Announcements, Countdown and Image Slider.
It allows images to be added from multiple sources:
Unsplash for browsing stock images, with options to filter by color and orientation
Library for using shared images managed in the Style guide.
From page for selecting attachments from a configured Confluence page, including PNG and JPEG images and supported file previews.
Upload for adding custom JPG and PNG files after selecting the target page where the image will be stored.
Link for inserting images via a valid external image URL with instant preview support
When using images from From Page or Upload, ensure the selected Confluence page and its attachments are accessible to all users who need to view the module.
If the page permissions restrict access, the image may not be visible to all users.
Deleting the attachment or removing it from the source page will break the image in the module.
After selecting an image, a focus point can be defined to control which part of the image remains prioritized when displayed in the module.
Ensures the most important part of the image remains visible when cropped or resized.
Icon, Emoji and Logo picker
The Icon, Emoji and Logo picker is available in selected Cards templates, Buttons, Announcements, and other supported modules.
It allows visual elements to be added from three sources:
Icons from the built-in icon library.
Emojis from the built-in emoji library.
Logos from the built-in logo library, with support for custom logos managed through the Style guide.
Link picker
The Link picker is available in supported modules that allow links to be added, including Cards, Buttons, Announcements, and other interactive templates.
It supports three link destination types:
Confluence page for linking to pages within the current Confluence site
Direct link for linking to external URLs or other direct destinations
Email address for creating mailto links that open the user’s default email client
