Birthdays, Anniversary, and New Starters
The Upcoming Birthdays, Work Anniversary, and New Starters modules help highlight important employee milestones across the organization using data from the Cosmos User Profiles Database.
Integrated directly into Confluence, these Cosmos-powered modules improve visibility of key people moments, support team culture, and make employee recognition simple and consistent. Setup is quick, with flexible display options to match different page and team needs.
Upcoming Birthdays, Work Anniversary, and New Starters modules are available only when the Cosmos app is installed, active, and properly configured. Learn how to configure.
Templates
Creating starts by selecting a template.
Upcoming Birthdays, Work Anniversary, and New Starters modules are available in multiple template types, including Card, and List.
Configuration
All templates include two types of settings: Layout and Content.
Layout
Layout settings control the overall appearance and behavior of the selected template.
Display Options
In the dispay section, there is an option to configure pagination. Available pagination types include Show More, Previous/Next, and None. The Per Page setting is available for all templates.
Link behaviour
Define whether click on People card opens the Cosmos profile in the same tab or a new tab.
Styling options
Styling options include corners rounding and colors.
Available colors are managed through the Caelor Style guide to maintain consistency across all formatting modules.
Content
The displayed people are determined automatically based on predefined logic:
Upcoming Birthdays: shows birthdays from today up to six months in the future
New Starters: shows entries from 7 days in the past with no future limit, based on the selected start date field in the User Profiles Database
Work Anniversary: shows anniversaries from 7 days in the past up to 3 months in the future
The Content tab includes a Collection picker used to narrow down which people are displayed in the module. If no Collection is selected, all users matching the module criteria are shown by default.

Card Content by Module
Each module displays different information on the card based on its purpose.
Work Anniversary
Displays the employee’s total years at the company below the name
Shows the anniversary date or relative countdown in the bottom badge, depending on selected format
New Starters
Displays a configurable field below the name, selected from the User Profiles Database
Shows the employee’s start date in the bottom badge
Upcoming Birthdays
Displays the employee’s birthday below the name
Shows the birthday date or relative countdown in the bottom badge, depending on selected format
