People, Org. Charts, and Activity in one view

Viz macro makes it easy to bring team-related content together. Whether browsing, creating, or managing, everything is presented in a way that helps teams connect, and stay informed.

People → Create dynamic or manual people overviews.
Org. Chart → Visualize team and reporting structures.
Recently Active → See who’s been active in Confluence.
Upcoming Birthdays → Highlight employee birthdays.
Work Anniversaries -> Celebrate work milestones.
New Starters → Welcome new colleagues.

Insert module

Open the desired page or create a new one.
Enter edit mode, then click the ‘+’ icon in the toolbar or press ‘/’ on the keyboard to open the module menu.
In the search bar, type “Viz” or “Optics” and select it from the list to open the configuration dialog. Alternatively, type the specific module name (“People”, “Org. Charts”, etc.) directly and select the Viz (by Optics).

Dynamic filters

Just like with News, Pages, and Spaces, Teams & Activity modules can be customized using filters. For example:

Show only employees from a specific department.
Filter an Org. Chart to highlight one division or manager’s tea,.
Display recent activity for selected spaces to surface the most relevant updates

These modules continuously update to reflect the latest changes, so overviews and charts remain accurate and current.

Cosmos Employee database integration

The People and Org. Charts modules become even more powerful when connected with the Cosmos employee database. They can display key employee fields such as roles, departments, or contact information. This integration creates dynamic, living views of your organization rather than static lists.

The Upcoming Birthdays, Work Anniversaries, and New Starters modules also rely on Cosmos. Once installed and configured, these modules automatically celebrate milestones and keep everyone informed about important team events.
