The Transition Screen functionality in Jira allows you to display and interact with custom fields during workflow transitions. This feature provides:
Support for custom fields types.
Enhanced usability for teams leveraging Forge-based custom fields.
Note: Rollout of this feature is still in progress, and in some environments, it might be enabled by default. If you’re not seeing the feature, follow the steps below to enable it manually.
How to Enable Transition Screens
To enable the Transition Screen on your Jira instance, follow these steps:
Access Personal Settings
Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of Jira.
Select Personal Settings from the dropdown menu.
Navigate to Jira Labs
Scroll down to the Jira Labs section on the settings page.
Enable the Transition Screen Toggle
Locate the Transition Screen toggle.
Switch it on to enable the new Transition Screen functionality.
