In this guide, we'll walk you through the seamless process of enabling stock tracking within your shop's inventory management system. Gain real-time insights into your product stock levels and enhance efficiency by taking advantage of this vital feature.

Stock feature utilizes Assets attributes to keep track of amount of items in stock and works in a two way sync between Assets and Shoppie.

First, Shoppie takes the attribute information from Assets and once items have been selected and request created Shoppie updates the attribute information in Assets.

Stock attribute needs to be INT type value attribute

Keeping track of item stock is defined on a category level. To enable this, select an attribute from Assets to be used as stock.

Once items have been added and request type is created the stock attribute will be updated by the amount of items selected:

Items out of stock will display such information in the portal:

Each item is reserved for 20 minutes in the portal. Once 20 minutes are up, the item becomes available again for other users to select.

Stock attribute is updated only once the request is submitted.

Refreshing the page will keep selected items in cart for 20 minutes
