Name | Name your custom field. It is required to add the name, but not unique. You can have more custom fields with the same name. |
Description | Description for the custom field. This description will be listed under the custom field in transition and issue create screens. |
Field type | Select between multiple or single issue picker. Field type is required. |
Link type | Select a link type in which the Jira links will be created. Use any of the native Jira links or custom ones. Link type will be disabled unless “Synchronise issue links” is turned ON |
Synchronise issue links | If enabled issues linked using the field will be synced with Jira links . Before you continue, decide if you want to keep or remove Jira links when removing issues from the field. Before you continue, please read the feature documentation in order to understand whet will happen if you enable this feature, and choose one of the options related to Jira links. |
JQL filter | You can add a desired JQL filter in the textfield. Options for the custom field will be restricted to issues matching this query. Changing the JQL filter will NOT affect issues inside of the field. It will only change the dropdown options(filtered issues). It’s mandatory to click on the magnifying glass icon in order to validate the JQL filter and save the field |
Override Permissions | If override permissions is enabled, custom field dropdown will show all issues regardless of user permissions to view the issues. |
View template | With View Template, you can decide how the template will look. Predefined values help you to display values from the issue. Supported filters are:

Screens | Select on which screens the custom field will be displayed on. |
