Migration to Cloud

Welcome to our migration guide. This document will help you move from Confluence Server or Data Center to Confluence Cloud. It includes essential resources and steps for migrating macros and managing the new entity IDs you'll encounter.

Resources for Migration

To help in your migration process, we have prepared a list of important resources that will provide you with guidance and support as you transition to Confluence Cloud.

Migrating Macros

Macros are integral parts of your pages and can be seamlessly migrated if you follow the correct procedures:

  1. Ensure that the Cloud version of the Pulse app is installed in your Confluence Cloud instance.

  2. Use the Cloud Migration Assistant to select the pages that contain macros for migration.

Handling entity ID vhanges

Migrating to Confluence Cloud involves adapting to new entity IDs assigned to pages, spaces, groups, and users, which might affect macro configurations.

Once migrated, you may need to manually adjust macro settings in edit mode to align with the new IDs. This step is crucial to maintaining the functionality of your macros in the Cloud environment.
