Showcase employee milestones with the Work Anniversary module from Pulse. This module connects to the Cosmos database to automatically display team members reaching their work anniversaries. Integrated into Confluence, it keeps everyone informed and helps recognize tenure across the organization. Configuration is simple, making it easy to highlight important moments in your team's journey.

Cosmos Intranet App Required
Dynamic Org. Charts module is available only when the Cosmos app is installed, active, and properly configured.

  1. The employee database must first be synced with Cosmos. Instructions for syncing can be found here.

  2. Once the sync is complete, the next step is to define which fields are used to power people modules and organizational charts. The full setup guide is available here.

Insert New Starters

To add a New Starters module to a Confluence page, follow these steps:

  • Open the desired page or create a new one.

  • Enter edit mode and click the "+" icon in the toolbar, or press "/" on the keyboard to open the module menu.

  • Type "Pulse" or "New Starters"  in the search bar and select the "Pulse" module from the list to open the configuration dialog.

  • In the configuration dialog, select the New Starters module from the overview screen and adjust settings in the configuration drawer as needed.

  • Clicking "Cancel" will exit the setup without inserting the module.

Configuration

When the New Starters module dialog opens, a live preview displays employees with the next New Starters.

Layout

The Layout tab defines how New Starters Active module is presented, offering options to choose the view type and control how all People cards will appear within the module.

Display Options

The display settings allow selection from several views to best match the desired presentation style. Available options include Card, and List.

Depending on the selected layout, it is possible to define the alignment of the cards, as their width does not change and they are not responsive. The available alignment options are left, center, and right.

Styling

The New Starters module offers several styling options to match the visual identity of the organization. These include corner rounding, card width, image size, and background settings. Backgrounds can be set to none, a solid color, or an image. These options help maintain a consistent and visually appealing presentation of People cards across various layouts.

Pagination

The New Starters dynamic module offers customizable pagination settings to manage content display and improve performance. It is possible to choose between three pagination types: Show More, Previous/Next, and Inactive (no pagination).

Two key settings are available:

  • Items per page: Defines how many people cards are initially loaded on the first page.

  • Max Number of items: Sets the maximum number of people cards displayed within the module.

Content

The Content tab defines which people appear in the module using the Cosmos Collections picker. If no collection is selected, all users with a start date up to 7 days in the past and any date in the future will be displayed.
