#7 Publish

Shoppie provides a flexible publishing process to help administrators manage their catalogs effectively. This process ensures that changes can be made without immediately affecting the live catalog and allows for careful review before publication.

Here's how it works:

Draft Mode

  1. When a catalog is created, it is saved in Draft Mode by default.

  2. This allows administrators to set up the catalog, make changes, and preview how it will look and function without impacting the live version.

  3. While in Draft Mode, the catalog is not visible to users in the JSM request type.

Publish

  1. Once the catalog setup is complete and reviewed, the administrator can click Publish.

  2. Publishing makes the catalog live and visible to users in the associated JSM request type.

  3. Any changes made to a published catalog will need to go through the same Draft and Publish process to update the live version.

Unpublish

  1. If the catalog needs to be temporarily hidden, the administrator can choose to Unpublish.

  2. Unpublishing removes the catalog from the JSM request type, but the configuration remains intact and can be re-published later without starting from scratch.
