Shoppie Setup (Admins)
Prerequisites
Jira Service Management Premium with Jira Assets.
Products in Assets
Before starting any technical setup, remember that the foundation of a great shop experience is quality product data. To ensure the best experience with Shoppie:
Populate Jira Assets with the products you want to showcase.
Include detailed descriptions, images, prices, and other relevant info you need.
Taking the time to enter accurate product data will create a smooth and enjoyable shopping experience for users.
Installation
Navigate to the Apps → find new Apps section within Jira.
Search for "Shoppie - Assets integrated shop for Jira" and proceed with the installation.
After the installation is completed, you will be prompted to API Token screen. In this step, you need to add the API token, which is required for the app to function properly.
API token authentication
To facilitate REST API communication between Jira Service Management and Assets, an API token is required. Once generated, input the API token into the Shoppie configuration section to establish the connection.
Regularly monitor and rotate the API token for security best practices. If experiencing communication errors, verify the API token's validity and permissions.
Navigate to the Apps → MANAGE Apps screen.
Open SHOPPIE from the left sidebar.
Click on the API Settings in the left sidebar.
Create an API Token here.
Add a user email and an API token.
Click on the Save button.
