Divider
The Divider module helps you organize content into clear sections, making pages easier to read and more visually structured. It improves layout clarity and guides users through the content more smoothly.
Insert Divider
Follow these steps to insert an Divider module to your Confluence page:
/dividerOpen the page you want to edit, or create a new one.
In edit mode, click the ‘+' icon in the toolbar or press '/' on your keyboard to open the module menu.
Type "Divider" or "Optics" in the search bar and select Divider (by Optics) from the list to open a configuration dialogue.
In the configuration dialog, choose an Divider template and customize it using the live preview. The available customization options depend on the template you choose.
Once you're happy with the setup, click Add to page to insert the module. To cancel, simply click Cancel, and the module won’t be added.
Configuration
Dividers come with configuration options that make it easy to adapt their appearance and behavior to fit any use case or align with your company’s branding.
Flexible display elements
The text, and icon can be toggled on or off individually, but at least one must remain visible to ensure a valid button module.
Content
The title can be edited inline, and the visual element to the left of the title can be set in the configuration sidebar. You can choose from three options to add personality, clarity, or branding to your Divider module.
Emoji: Used to add personality and expressiveness to cards, making content feel more engaging and friendly.
Icons: Available from four built-in libraries, offering a wide variety of styles to suit different use cases, from playful to professional.
Logos: Part of a dedicated feature connected to the Optics Styleguide. Allows Confluence admins to upload, manage, and use approved company logos.
Styling options
Styling options allow customization of colors, and size of all elements enabled.
Color: Uses only the accent color defined in the Optics Styleguide. Changing the accent color updates both icon, and text.
Size: You can choose from predefined sizes, Small (S), Medium (M), and Large (L), or define a custom size within a range from 1 to 100.
