HTML

While HTML module is quick and easy to use, our customers should be aware of the restricted security that comes along with it. To reduce the risk, it is important to define who can use Javascript within the Confluence.

The HTML module allows you to add code snippets to your page. These include HTMLJavaScript, and CSS, which will run inside the module and not affect the rest of the page.

Insert HTML

  1. Open the desired page or create a new one.

  2. Enter edit mode, then click the ‘+’ icon in the toolbar or press ‘/’ on the keyboard to open the module menu.

  3. In the search bar, type “Viz” or “Optics” and select it from the list to open the configuration dialog. Alternatively, type “HTML” and select the Viz (by Optics).

  4. In the configuration dialog, either select a module template from the overview page or navigate to HTML from the left sidebar.

Configuration

The HTML module doesn’t include a traditional configuration panel. Instead, it provides a simple way to switch between HTMLCSS, and JavaScript, so you can build directly inside the module.

Code is added inline, and the preview updates instantly. This gives you full control over the layout, styling, and behavior in one place, with immediate visual feedback.
